Guernsey is nestled next to the North Platte River and the Hay Stack Mountains. Sitting at 4,343 feet, Guernsey is considered to be located in Wyoming's banana belt. The warm springs and falls make growing a garden easy as well as plenty of wonderful days to spend by the river, at the state park or relaxing at the beach. Guernsey is surrounded by outdoor adventure, the state park to the north offers hiking, biking, boating, nature viewing and plenty of beach access. Grayrocks to the south is one of Wyoming's premier walleye fisheries and is a great place to unwind. Guernsey has plenty to do to keep the kids busy during the 231 days of sunshine. picnic shelters. Trail Ruts Golf and Camp provides a nice 9-hole course located on the Oregon Trail ruts and next to the North Platte River. Historical points of interest surround the town and provide a glimpse into the past. The Oregon Trail is carved through the North Platte River Valley and provides viewing of names from the early 1900's at Register Cliff and the deepest wagon ruts on the trail. During the summer months Gordon Davis Park is busy with Farmer's Markets, Movies in the Park, Concerts in the Park, a 4th of July Celebration and our annual Duck Daze and Beer Fest Celebration.
